Nicole's trip to Downtown Minneapolis

This morning I had an opportunity to go downtown with one of my instructors and some other students to the Mill City Farmers Market. Boy did we have a good time, but boy was it cold out there at 8 am in the morning!! But I guess that is when you get the best shots. Here are just a few of my favorite ones that I took.

Oh how the weather changes overnight

Yesterday the family was outside playing in the yard, getting dirty in the mud hole, (this would be daddy spraying all the mud off of Trevor before we would let him back in the house) and today we are all in jackets and pants! Oh how the weather changes here in Minnesota.
Here are some pictures taken yesterday and then some from today on our walk.

Joshua and Avery at the Arboretum

Last week Nicole and some friends took the younger kids out to the Arboretum for a couple hours to get out of the house.

Buppa's Garden

One of the spots the boys loved this summer was Buppa's (a.k.a. Grandpa Wall) garden. We stopped by there last week to steal some veggies and let the boy's "help" in the garden...and yes Molly (dog) really seems to like the green beans.

The Safety Gear

Just to put some of our readers minds at rest (yes Sarah I'm talking to you) the answer is "YES" we bought riding gear for the boys...well, Trevor anyway (Joshua's not going to be riding the ATV for at least another 12 - 18 months). Trevor and Daddy went to Bob's Cycle Supply in St. Paul today to pick up his helmet, goggles and gloves. Looked at some boots and a chest protector but they didn't have anything that fit him...maybe in another year. The helmet was a youth edition HJC and we're pleasantly surprised at how well it fits him. We suspect we'll need to get him a bigger one next year but for now this one will be just fine.

Daddy's present to the boys

Jeremy was reading the local trading post this weekend while we were down in E.C. , and happened to stumble across an ad for a "youth ATV" at an Arctic Cat Dealer. Long story short, while the rest of the family headed off to the Harvest Festival Parade (which I will post about that later) Jeremy headed off to Bloomer to pick up the 4-wheeler. And can you guess who was more excited? Jeremy decided that he could not wait until Nicole got home from getting some groceries to show the boys their new toy; needless to say Nicole was pretty pissed, but got over it...eventually. It's still too big for Joshua to ride solo but Trevor figured it out after about 2 hours of trying not to hit things with it.
