Afternoon with Le and Tracy
Tonight (Monday June 9th) Weiwah Le and his lovely wife Tracy took me out for the afternoon since today was a national holiday for China in honor of the Dragon Boat Festival. To my pleasant surprise they took me to Dragonfly, essential a day spa, and was treated to a Chinese Foot Massage (which by the way if you ever come to China you have to try) and then we went for drinks and dinner at a great Vietnamese restaurant called Saigon Blue...I have to admit I think it was the best meal I've had thus far on this trip or in the last six months for that matter. The beef pho and spring rolls were great as was the skewered shrimp mousse and peanut sauce vegetables. I need to remember that next time I'm in Shanghai and need to find a great restaurant Tracy is most certainly going be my first call.
Real Chinese Food (not Amercian - Chinese Food)
Per my previous posts I have tried pretty much everything placed on the table while dining (except the chickens feet). The pictures below show just a few of the items I've had in the last couple weeks most of which are regional dishes based on the cities we visited. I've had everything from river shirmp and snails to octapus and sea cucumber...I've also eaten more tophu in the last 10 days than I thought I'd eat in my entire lifetime.

Chinese Culture
During the last 10 days traveling in southeastern China I have seen and expereinced many things from business culture and manufacturing processes to food and art. The team in our Best Buy Shanghai and Shenzhen offices have been the most gracious of hosts and have shown me several sites including "Piano Island" across from Xiamen City, Joyce Ying took me to Zhujiajiao which is "the Venice of Shanghai" and it was also on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival and Wendy Wang took me to the Nanjing Road Market (imagine a U.S. flea market on steriods). Weiwah Le was kind enough to take me to experience a traditional Chinese foot massage, twice.
Since everyone back in the U.S. everyone has been asking about the food...I can honestly say I have tried everything served thus far with the exception of steamed chicken feet.
Below are just a few of the 600 plus pictures and videos I've taken thus far and I'll post more when I get back to the U.S.

Update on Jeremy
I was able to talk to Jeremy this morning and things are going well. He is having a great time! Golfing one day, 90 minute massages the next and then an afternoon of shopping! And he says that he is on a business trip! Ha! I guess that all the business starts on Tuesday though, he is traveling within China this week as he tours some of their vendors. Please pray that he and the Asia team have safe travels this week.
We will update you again when we hear more from him...

Dinner with the Gerken's
Sunday night we were invited to have dinner with the Gerkin's (old neighbors of ours). It was a beautiful afternoon, and of course I had my camera with me. Here are some pictures from today.... The first one is Kalynn (3 1/2) Joshua, and Holly (1 1/2)

This is what happens when you let Joshua eat yogurt
I was giving Joshua dinner the other night and the only thing that he wanted to eat was the yogurt! He insisted that he eat it himself. This is what happened!!!
