New Do's

The only thing that we planned for this weekend was to get the boys hair cuts. They were getting a little long if I do say so myself. You know that Joshua's is too long when a older lady asks if he is a boy or a girl!!! COME ON PEOPLE! If he was a girl don't you think that I would be putting bows in all that hair!!!
Well here are the "after" shots! The lady in the back of Trevor's picture is Megan (my stylist).

Joshua and Grandpa Great

Here is a picture of Joshua and a picture of Grandpa Great when he was about Joshua's age. Do you think that they look alike?

Trevor and the Truck Ride

Trevor got to go on the "Big Rig" Truck Ride at the Mall of America the other day...seemed to enjoy himself.

Trevor meets Dora

We were lucky enough to be able to meet Dora while we were at the MOA! Avery and Joshua wanted NOTHING to do with her, even though Avery was saying "Dowa, Dowa" every time that she saw Dora somewhere. Well at least Trevor was excited to sit and have his picture taken with Dora.

Trevor and the Truck Ride

So Trevor is finally big enough to ride some of the rides at the MOA. He was even tall enough to ride them by himself. I decided that he could pick the ride that he wanted to go on. Of course, it had something to do with "Trucks"!! He had a BLAST on the ride. Here are a few pictures of him enjoying himself.....

Underwater World

On Thursday my friend Jennifer and I took our kids to Underwater World! That was an adventure in itself! Three kids, lots of fish, and lots of "whoa's"!!! Here are some pictures from our little adventure...
This is Trevor and the Beaver

Avery and Trevor getting eaten by "Sharkey"

That last one is Trevor and Jennifer standing in the Shark Cage

Cheeser

Here is Joshua saying "Cheese"! That is one word that comes out very clearly!! The next one is what happens when he does not get the Cheese that he wants!!!

Mommy and Joshua

This was taken the same day that we joined St. John's. Joshua was looking at the camera case and was making a serious face. I just love it!

The Happy Family

This Sunday our family became members of the St. John's Lutheran Church family. Thankfully Mary & Ellis were here to help take some long needed family pictures. This was the best of all of the ones that were taken, as you can see Joshua was not all that excited to take pictures after church this morning and Trevor decided that sitting still one more minute was simply not going to happen.

How Handsome We Are

Need we say more?

Spring is Almost Here!

After almost 5 months of being locked up in our little home with the boys we got out first real taste of spring on Thursday (3/13/08). The temp got into the mid 50's, snow was melting everywhere and the boys wanted to get outside. Trevor spent most of the day riding his bike and walking on the trails along the Minnesota River while Joshua was having fun splashing in the snow melt (rather dirty but he had fun). Our friend Kevin came up from Texas to spend a few days with us before starting a new job job as Chief Neurosurgical P.A. in Temple, TX (if you ladies are interested he's single, tall, no kids, never been married, non-smoker...the downsides are he laughs like a girl at times, is somewhat of a health food junkie and has braces; after 29 years of messed up teeth he finally got them straight).

Trevor's Wish List

So we got a call today from "Uncle Sev" (a.k.a. Scott our neighbor / Joshua's Godfather) to stop by his place to see a new toy. Turns out Sev had to pick up some dirt bikes for a friend of his one of which, according to Trevor, is "just my size". Needless to say Trevor really, really, really thinks he needs a dirt bike now...thanks Uncle Sev.

Weekend Update

On Saturday we looked around the house and realized that Trevor and Joshua had a collection of toys that were taking over every room in the house. We asked the boys, ok Trevor, if they wanted to donate some of their toys to the nursery at church and to our pleasant surprise they said "Yes". So we went through every toy the boys had including those hiding in the crawl space and created a donate pile and keep pile. When all was said and done we had three large bags full of toys to donate. With the toys they wanted to keep we labeled 4 large storage bins with Monday thru Thursday on them. Now the boys have a different bucket of toys for each weekday and on Friday they can pick whichever bucket they want. The hope is that this will keep the toys from taking over the living room.

Plug for another site

I would not normally do this, but this site is one of the most AMAZING sites that I have ever looked at. Please take a moment or two (unless you are like me who has become addicted to this site and check it daily!). But please check it out and keep this family in your prayers.

How Big is Joshua

Ok so I was a little bored the other day! Imagine that one (me two kids, bored??!! YEAH RIGHT) ANYWAY....
I decided that it was time to play around with the D50 while Jeremy and Trevor made an Ice cream run! I had just given Joshua a bath and we just played for a little while. While playing I could not help but take some pictures of one of the most adorable boys that I have even known!!
This is Joshua telling us that he is "So Big"

Look at those eyes!! I still cannot believe how blue they are!! He is just too cute

This is what happens when Trevor goes to EC

The last couple of weekends Trevor has had the privilege of spending time in Eau Claire with "NaNa and Big Guy". That way Trevor can have some special time with them and Jeremy and I can have some one on one time with Joshua. A win win for everybody! So you can only imagine our surprise when we open our email and see this picture of Trevor outside in his "snow fort" that he and Big Guy made outside!

Jeremy and I are happy to see that Trevor is getting out and letting out some of his energy before he comes home.

Joshua's Kisses

Joshua has now learned how to give kisses. Well, I am not sure if I would call them kisses or more along the lines of slobbery, wet open mouth, lean into your face kind of a kiss. But I have to admit that it still warms your heart when you ask him for a kiss and he knows what you are asking of him..
