We felt bad for Joshua so we decided to let him have a bit of Daddy's ice cream sandwich. Needless to say Joshua got the whole thing (Daddy has this thing about his food and it having drool on it!!) Joshua loved it and so we had to get some pictures of him with it on his face.

Nicole and Joshua Update Part 4
Good News!!!! Joshua has a new smaller cast on now!! We went back down to Gillette's on Monday with Buppa (Nicole's father) to help us with Joshua. They took off the old smelly cast and then we were off to x-ray to have them take more pictures of his leg. They said that it was a "textbook heal"! Which is good news, because if you looked at the x-ray you could still see the break clear as day. Joshua did not know what to do with his cast off. He only had about 30 minutes of freedom until the 4th (and hopefully final!) cast was put on. He is now in a walking cast! It is the funniest thing! He has to wear this little boot on his foot that gives him traction when he is trying to walk. The only problem is that it is about one inch longer than he right foot, so now he is really off balance! but he is cruising around the house with it on very well! He is not used to having his knee back so that is slowing him down a little bit. We hope that he will recover and have not issues later on! We go back to the doctor on the 8th of November and hopefully we will be done with the cast for good!!
Thanks again to everyone for their prayers and well wishes! It has really helped!

Chaska Fire Department Open House
Last Saturday was the Open House at the Fire Department here in Chaska, and anyone that knows our Trevor knows that he LOVES fire trucks and "fighterfighters" (that is what Trevor calls firemen). Amma and Carston came out and went with us too. Carston and Trevor were able to sit in the back of the ambulance and meet Sparky the Dog. Joshua and Amma even had a good time waiting in line to go on a ride in a fire truck. Were were ablet to see how a real fire starts, and how fast the fire moves. We were even able to go on two Fire Truck rides (thanks to Kirsten!) and see Trevor's "best friends" Anna and Keenan there too.
Our Little Monster
Daddy thought that he would get a picture of Joshua right after he got up from his nap! As you can see he was willing to give us one of his faces! Daddy is glad that he got this one! This is one of his better faces.
Trevor's First Apple Cake
NaNa and Big Guy brought some apples over from one of the orchards in Eau Claire the last time that they were here. So Mommy and Trevor decided that it would be a good time to make Grandma Great's Apple Cake! So we put Joshua down for a nap and Trevor and Mommy went to work (with Daddy's help of course!). Here is a picture of Trevor and Mommy making the crust. We had so much fun making the cake! We will have to make this a yearly tradtion in the Stewart house now!!
Trevor and the Dirt Pudding
It was Mrs. Going's (his teacher) birthday and the room moms decided that the project for the party would be to make dirt Pudding! Needless to say that the dirt pudding came home with us and this is what happens when you let a 3 year old eat it!

Nicole and Joshua Update Part 3
So on Monday morning Mommy noticed that Joshua's little piggies were now inside his cast, I called and they wanted us to rush down to Gillette's again and have it recasted! So needless to say the accident happened one week ago today and he is on his 3rd cast! The guys down at Gillette's call him "Little Houdini". At least we had the same two guys put his cast on this time. It made Joshua a little more comfortable.
Nicole's stitches came out on Monday also. Her chin looks like it will heal just fine, with barely a scar there.
We just want to thank everyone for all of your help and prayers and food that you have sent our way! We are a very blessed family to have such wonderful friends around us.

Joshua's First Tooth
AS you can see (barely) Joshua has his first tooth... Well in all honesty he has 6 already. Four on the top and two on the bottom. This was the only good picture that I could get of them!

Joshua and his cast
So this is the new cast that Gillette Children's Specialty Hospital put on Joshua yesterday. He is getting along very well with it on. He was crawling Tuesday night! As you can see he is still getting into Daddy's magazines!!

Nicole and Joshua Update Part 2
Ok, so it does appear that Joshua did in fact break his left leg. We took him into Gillette Children's Hospital this afternoon in St. Paul and they confirmed that it was actually broken and not just a fracture. The little guy seems to be in exteremly good spirits considering he now has a cast on his leg from just above his knee all the way under his foot. The part that is really "painful" is that we can't get the cast wet....have you ever tried to give an 8 month old a sponge bath without getting his legs wet? Kind of a joke but what can you do.
Nicole and Joshua Update
On Tuesday 10/2 Nicole and Joshua fell down some steps outside of Trevor's school. They were taken to the hospital and ended up with Nicole needing 13 stitches and Joshua having a fractured leg (both of them have a number scratches and will be sore for the next week or so). Considering they were falling down a set of concrete steps it could have been much worse; Nicole being the great mother she is took the brunt of the impact for Joshua. Nicole and Joshua are doing fine, thanks to some really good LEGAL drugs.
